Mykonos is not really a vegan-friendly island. If you want to visit the island, you’ll figure out a way to find options here and there, but don’t expect to find the most delicious dishes. At least, not easily. I honestly mostly cook my food but here is what I ate in Mykonos while staying there and some tips.
- Fruit market : It’s a mini market located next to the Fabrika bus station. Right there, I found the flapjack oat bars I love ! Blueberry, Chocolate Chip, Pecan, Strawberry, Pomegranate… they all are delicious ! I only found them in Mykonos and Santorini by the way.
- Bowl @ Ornos : This place is next to Ornos Beach (about 10min by car from Mykonos Town). I found there several vegan options like açaí bowls, avocado toasts, noodles, smoothies etc.
- Music Port : I ate a delicious soup, French fries and a custom pizza at this place, in front of the beach of Mykonos Town.
- Mini markets : in the Cyclades, standard grocery shops are rare, as a result I had a difficult time to sustain a healthy vegan diet. But it was not impossible, I just had to try several mini markets in order to find what I wanted (jasmine rice, veggies, fruits etc.)
